Our little advocate for the wild owls in Ireland
Jesse is a professional at showing off his skills, however don’t be fooled by his adorable appearance; this is a silent assassin who plays by his own rules! At 9 years of age, he has outlived the average wild barn owl by quite a few years, but we at the Centre believe there are many years in this little owl yet as he is spoiled rotten! The barn owl is a formidable predator, hunting rodents in open grassland through both the day and night. Their silent flight and acute hearing allows them to pinpoint the exact location of their target without the prey ever knowing they are being hunted. We believe Jesse is the most charming of birds who will inspire you to be an advocate for owl conservation in your local area!
