At Aillwee, we are thrilled to welcome back Santa, Mrs Claus and the team of hardworking elves from the North Pole! On weekends, from Friday, November 24th to Saturday, December 23rd, Aillwee will once again share Santa’s Workshop with our visiting families and friends, deep in The Burren underground.
Santa, Mrs Claus and all the elves have visited Aillwee to carry out inspections and create a plan that ensures lots of excitement & entertainment to keep everyone enthralled and in a seasonal mood. A visit to Santa’s Workshop at Aillwee makes Christmas complete!

  • What are the opening Days and Times?

Santa’s Workshop will be running every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 24th of November to the 23rd of December.

  • Is there a shop @ Santa’s Workshop?

Our Farm Shop and Christmas Shop are, as always, brimming with lots of gifting options and ideas – from bespoke, awarding winning Burren Gold Gouda Festive Cheese Hampers to an array of carefully curated presents for all your family and friends. No visit to Santa’s Workshop is complete without calling by….

  • Can I get a refund for my Santa’s Workshop ticket?

Tickets to Santa’s Workshop at Aillwee, once purchased are non-refundable.

  • Can I reschedule my visit to Santa’s Workshop?

Rescheduling your visit to Santa’s Workshop is possible if there is a suitable slot available. Requesting this is by phoning the Workshop directly on 065 7077036.

  • How long is the Event?

Each time slot to see Santa, which is a group visit, has a predetermined comfortable capacity limit. Therefore, we recommend a maximum of two adults accompany your children.  Extra unbooked adults arriving on the day may be accommodated, at our discretion.

  • What if I am late/ early?

If you arrive late for your appointed slot, we will do our very best to accommodate in a later slot, although we cannot guarantee this. If early, you are welcome to visit our Farm Shop and Christmas Shop

  • Why am I being charged for my baby?

Baby’s meet and receive a present from Santa.

  • Why do adults have to pay?

Santa’s workshop at Aillwee is a family event with presents and experiences to be enjoyed by everyone.

  • How many adults can accompany my children?

Each visit time to see Santa has a predetermined comfortable capacity limit. Therefore, we recommend a maximum of two adults accompany your children.  Extra unbooked adults arriving on the day may be accommodated, at our discretion.

  • Can we take photographs?

Yes, you are welcome to take photographs of your own visiting party. Also, Images of your visit with Santa, as always, are captured by our elves. Photographs and other merchandise packs are available to purchase and take home on the day.

  • Will baby changing facilities be available @ Santa’s Workshop?

Yes, there are baby changing facilities in both our Toilet blocks at the Cave and Birds of Prey Centre

  • Are prams / buggies permitted at Santa’s Workshop?

As Santa’s workshop is underground prams and buggies are not permitted in the cave. We have a pickup drop off point available close to the cave entrance

  • My family member/client is in a wheelchair. Can you accommodate us?

Yes, we can accommodate wheelchair users to visit Santa’s Workshop. For bookings requiring accessibility assistance, e.g., wheelchair access or information on quieter, sensory sessions during Santa’s Workshop, please email info@aillweecave.ie or call 065 7077036
